Jessica Johnson
Jessica Johnson is a contemporary Aboriginal designer and artist from Sydney, and the founder and creative lead of Nungala Creative, a 100% Aboriginal owned and operated creative communications and design agency. She is a proud descendant of the Warumungu and Wombaya peoples of the Northern Territory.
Jessica's practice spans graphic design, illustration, animation, motion graphics and visual storytelling, unified by a recognisable aesthetic rooted in bold colour, positive expression and cultural connection. Her work is informed by both her Aboriginal heritage and lived experience, using creativity to celebrate community and uplift First Nations voices.
Through Nungala Creative, Jessica has developed a broad body of interdisciplinary work across print, digital, broadcast and brand design, building creative partnerships with national clients. Her distinctive style blends contemporary design with deep cultural storytelling, creating work that speaks with authenticity in public and commercial contexts.
At Broadway, we're proud to celebrate 50 Years of Deadly with our community — through Jessica Johnson's hero artwork, a week-long program of activations, and a centre filled with the colour, sound and spirit of NAIDOC. Find out What's On Here.
