Broadway Sydney is getting a makeover!
Broadway Sydney is embarking on restoration and renovation works, which will rejuvenate, preserve, and enhance the centre’s unique architectural history, delivering Sydney’s newest Rebel Customer Experience store as well as expanding and refurbishing the current JB Hi-Fi store to over ~1,400sqm.
We are working hard to minimise any disruptions to all visitors to Broadway Sydney, we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Our Parramatta Road entrance/exit (including the lift) will be closed during this period, with the alternative entry/exit approximately 150m away on Bay Street.
Our famous façade is a much-loved and iconic Sydney landmark, known as the original Grace Bros building and has been a retail destination for over 120 years. The original building’s beginnings were as the four-storey department store, Grace Brothers, which opened in 1904, and was known as the ‘House of the People Store’. These renovation works, 120 years on, will return the iconic building back to its roots, with Rebel’s exciting new experience store, spanning three levels.
We are excited to share that the Rebel store will be Sydney’s newest large format store, which showcases an expanded range of products across high-involvement sports, and interactive experience zones. This will provide customers with a convenient, fresh, and exciting in-store experience. To meet ongoing customer needs, Rebel will remain open, but will be temporarily relocated to 80 Bay Street immediately opposite the centre while the exciting new store’ is created.
We are investing in these renovation works to preserve and enhance the centre for future generations to enjoy, whilst also rejuvenating and improving our customer experience and offerings. Works commenced Monday 11 March 2024 and we expect this exciting project to take 12 months. We will keep you informed as works progress, however you can also stay up to date with all the latest information by visiting broadwaysydney.com.au or following us on socials @broadwaysydney 📱
