This Christmas season, we're inviting our community to be part of something truly Wonder Full by giving back to those who need it most.
Kmart is celebrating 38 years of the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal, the nation's largest and longest-running gift collection drive. Through their long-standing partnership with The Salvation Army, Kmart have distributed over 14 million gifts to those in need, creating positive change and ensuring that everyone can experience the magic of the festive season.
The Appeal supports children, adults, seniors and families who are unable to afford gifts at Christmas and throughout the year. With more than 760,000 children currently living in poverty across Australia, Kmart alongside The Salvation Army are working together to help give hope to Australians struggling with homelessness, illness or family crisis. Getting involved is simple – you can make a cash contribution in store or online, or give a gift in store to support the Appeal.
To donate a gift, visit the Kmart Wishing Tree at Broadway Sydney, choose a tag, and purchase the requested gift. Return it unwrapped to the Wishing Tree, place a Wishing Tree sticker on your gift, and a Salvation Army representative will collect and distribute it to those in need. This year, Kmart are hoping for gifts that bring joy to teenagers and help families connect – outdoor equipment, board games, headphones, gift cards, educational toys, backpacks, or arts and crafts are all wonderful options.
