    Customer Service Information

    The Broadway Sydney Customer Service Desk is located on Level 1 near The Reject Shop. Our friendly team will be able to assist with directions, in centre services and events. 

    Disability Services and Facilities

    Broadway Sydney has facilities and equipment to assist customers with limited mobility to make their way comfortably around the centre.  

    Centre Management

    Our Centre Management Office is located on Level 3 via the lift near Broadway Sydney Medical Centre on Level 1. Our office hours are Monday - Friday between 8:30-17:30

    Childcare Service

    Caring 4 Kids Broadway is located on Level 2A. Caring 4 Kids Broadway offers an array of learning experiences that are tailored, top notch programs, language classes and a wide range of sports as well as Zumba classes. There are three convenient ways to get to Caring 4 Kids:

    1. Enter Bay St Car Park North use express lane right hand side & continue to Yellow Level 2A for reserved Child Care Centre Parking 
    2. Enter Through Shopping Centre Level 2 Food Court, Exit Back Right side out to ramp, go up ramp to Child Care Centre 
    3. Street Access from Francis Street off Glebe Point Road walk up the ramps to Child Care Centre.

    Opal Cards

    Opal cards can be purchased and topped up at the Coles customer service desk on the ground floor.

    By train

    Our closest station is Central Station, with services running from 4:00 am to around midnight on most train lines.  The centre is a 15 minute walk from the station.

    By bus

    Buses stop on Broadway and City Road across the road from the centre. They travel through the city and beyond almost 24 hours a day. Most of the bus routes within the City of Sydney are prepaid only to reduce delays, so you'll need to buy a ticket before you get on board. There are ticket outlets all over the city and you can usually find one near bus stops.

    Bus routes L23, L28, M10, M30, 412, 413, 422, 423, 426, 428, 431, 433, 436, 438, 439, 440, 461, 470, 480, 483 all travel down Parramatta Rd, exit at Victoria Park opposite the centre.

    By light rail

    Our closest light rail stations are Glebe and Central. Both are a 15 minute walk from the centre. Services operate daily every 15 minutes from Central to Lilyfield between 6am and 11pm Monday to Thursday and between 6am to midnight Friday and Saturday. There is a 24 hour service from Central to The Star operating every 15 minutes from 6am to midnight then every 30 minutes until 6am.

    By car

    Broadway Shopping Centre is conveniently located on the corner of Broadway and Bay Streets in Broadway. There are over 1665 available parking spots in our multi-level car park.

    By bicycle

    Ride your bike to Broadway and secure your bicycle and helmet safely in our Bike Block, located on the ground floor of the North Car Park. All you need to bring is a padlock! To lock at the block, place your helmet inside the storage unit, then secure your bike to the unit using the attached cables. Close the lid and lock with your padlock. Happy Riding!

    *Once per day only 3% surcharge for credit card payment. Parking rates begin from moment of entry. Please validate your parking ticket at any Auto Pay Station before returning to your car. Auto Pay Stations accept coins, notes and major credit cards. Hoyts patrons please be advised that the first 4 hours of parking are free, then normal fees apply, therefore 4-5hrs will be $5.40. Parking ticket must be validated at Hoyts before returning to your vehicle.

    The car park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week and is operated by Centre Management and questions can be directed to the Car Park Manager on (02) 9211 5635.The maximum height is 1.95 metre, and there are 1665 car parking spots. Pre-booking is unavailable.

    There are 3 main entry points to the car park that are signposted:

    Bay Street entrance: access via Bay Street or Smail Street at the traffic lights.

    Francis Street entrances: access to North Car Park and South Car Park (convenient access to Harris Farm and Coles). Access only via Grose Street and Glebe Point Road.

    Grose Street entrance: access via Bay Street.

    Student Parking

    $20 all day flat rate, exit before 12:00 am Monday to Friday ONLY. Students can enjoy our Student rate of $20 for all day parking, Monday - Friday. Students MUST park on levels 3A and 4 in the North car park to receive this Student rate, Enter from Bay St and Francis St north.Also, you MUST validate your ticket in the boom gate at Level 3A by simply slide the ticket inside the ticket machine on the right hand side of the boom gate. Don't forget to take your ticket with you, and please ensure you have your student card on you at all times for verification. Pay at any time during the day at an Auto Pay machine before leaving.

    THE EVOLUTION OF AN ICON

    WE'RE BUILDING A NEW BAY ST ENTRY

     

    What work are you doing out on Bay Street?

    We are refurbishing the façade and main entry to the centre on Bay Street to improve the standard and presentation of the centre, which will provide a positive environment for both our retailers and customers. Works will include:

    A new glazed awning along Bay Street (between Grose Street and Francis St);
    New under awning signage as well as a new “Broadway Sydney” blade sign on the façade above the main entry;
    New footpath paving along Bay Street (between Grose Street ad Francis Street);
    Refurbishment of existing façade cladding;
    New lighting; and
    New and refurbished shopfronts along Bay Street.

    When will the works finish?

    We anticipate all works will be completed by September 17.

    What will the construction work hours be?

    Construction hours will comply with noise-restriction regulations under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997. Standard hours of work are as specified in the development consent: Monday to Saturday, 7.30am to 10pm with no works allowed on Sundays or public holidays.

    Will we get any new retailers (or other specific stores)?

    Yes, we are introducing one new retailer and will be able to release details very soon.

    Will the works affect my day-to-day living as a nearby resident?

    Due to the nature of the work there may be some minor noise and minor disruption, however we expect disruption to local residents to be minimal, and will keep the community informed of any major works in advance. We will endeavour to minimise disruption to the community by developing relevant management plans (e.g. traffic management) and communicating these changes in advance.

    I heard you were replacing the escalators and introducing a new entry to the centre. Is that true?

    The existing escalators and lift will remain, there are no immediate plans to change these entry points to the centre.

    Will access to the shops and services along Bay Street and Francis Street be impacted during the works?

    All shops and services will be fully accessible during the works, signage will be installed to redirect pedestrians if required. The escalators which connect to the Ground Floor of the centre will remain operational during the works.

    Will the Community Bus or the Post Boxes be impacted during the works?

    The free Community Bus will operate as usual and there will be no impact to the Australia Post Boxes on Bay Street.

    What other works are you doing out the front of the Centre?

    Two raised pedestrian crossings are being constructed; 1. across Grose Street at Bay Street and 2. across Bay Street to replace the current island crossing opposite the centre. These crossings will calm traffic and provide improved access for pedestrians and customers accessing Broadway Sydney.

    Construction works will be undertaken in two stages, commencing with the Grose Street crossing on Monday 6 February. Traffic Management will be in place and signage will assist to direct pedestrians during the works.

    Cycling Clubs

    Bike Sydney
    Bike Sydney is a not-for-profit community organisation affiliated with Bicycle NSW. As advocates for Sydney bike riders, they organise and lead regular social rides and other fund events, as well as providing useful information to cyclists around Sydney.

    Sydney Cycling Club
    The SCC ride six days a week, leaving from Centennial Park in Sydney, on top of organising racing time trials, hill climbs and road races. The Club also hold social events such as Ride for a Reason, to support charities and give back to the community.

    Bike North
    Bike North Incorporated is a not-for-profit group affiliated with Cycling NSW and Bicycle NSW, and cover North Sydney, The Hills and Ryde council areas. Bike North run regular social rides, as well as raising problems or concerns about cycling with local councils.
